Madeira Style Pinot Noir – 2002 – Extra Reserve
Inspiration
Carmine’s desire to produce a Madeira wine with Pinot Noir began in 2002 during his development of the original “Oregon Pinot Camp”. He grew, hand-selected, and fermented biodynamic Willamette Valley Pinot Noir grapes, procured a limousin French oak barrel, and began aging this beauty.
Our Madeira Style Pinot Noir
Now, 22 years later, he is ready to release what is surely to be the first Madeira Style Pinot Noir in the Pacific Northwest. This fortified wine (18.5% alcohol) possesses exquisite quality, with true Madeira notes of salty/nutty caramel graced with wildflowers. It presents perfectly as a stand-alone sipping wine or is well-paired with a sweet dessert. The wine is packaged in a 500ml Tortuga Bottle and is 100% Pinot Noir made with Madeira specifications.
